Summer

Winter

Although it is cold in winter, the vines are very grateful for this climate. Vines take advantage of the cold in winter and use the time to relax and rest. Every other activity by the plants is put on hold because there isn’t enough sunshine for photosynthesis to take place. However, how low the temperatures can go is also a factor to consider. If it is too cold, the plants could be damaged. In winter, most grape growers allow the plants to relax and check on them when the temperatures drop.

Autumn and Spring

These two seasons are essential and play a significant role in rejuvenating the plant from its resting phase. In winter, there is a risk of the plants suffering from frost damage. To halt this potential problem, the rain from autumn plays a significant role. Also, the heat in spring allows the budding of grapes, and they start developing. Autumn and spring are seen as the two seasons when the vines are taken care of. Most farmers bring in new technology such as heaters to ensure that the plants survive through the seasons.
